Milas rugs are rugs traditionally hand-woven, usually by women, in the Milas district of Turkey's Muğla province. These rugs reflect the rich cultural heritage of the region and are considered an example of traditional Turkish handicrafts. It is generally woven from woolen threads and its patterns are often decorated with geometric, floral or animal motifs. The color scheme generally consists of natural color tones, but there may be changes in the color palette over time and with contemporary designs. These rugs reflect the culture, geography and history of the region in an original way.
