Obruk kilims are traditional hand-woven kilims generally produced in various regions of Anatolia. The Obruk technique, from which the kilim takes its name, is a special weaving technique in kilims. Using this technique gives the kilim depth and tactile feel. Generally, natural materials such as wool or cotton increase the durability of the rug and give it a natural feel. Obruk rugs are often decorated with regional motifs and patterns. These patterns are specific to the culture and traditions of the region where the rug is produced and usually have vibrant and rich colors.
